Being a blogger
Ok, so what can I say....I haven't blogged in like two weeks. I must admit I am not as regular a blogger as my wonderful boyfriend. Top marks go to him for his faithful posting.
So I think part of the reason for my absense is this....Often my days feel like I am running along on a conveyer belt. It is a good conveyer belt, but it just doesn't stop sometimes. I am learning to take more time out and just BE.
After all I am a human BEING, not DOING, right?
This last week and a half I have been studying the Pentacheuch (Probably the wrong spelling. Andrew, help me out here! :o) and it has been really good. The main reason is that I am getting a new revelation of God's heart. For example up until now I have viewed all the laws, given to the Jews in the wilderness, as a burden, HOWEVER as I have looked closely at them I can see God's caring heart. He gave them these laws for a reason....he gave rules for how to deal with disputes, so that people would not get unfairly punished, or rules on how to deal with sickness so that disease would not spread and affect lots of people. It's a whole new perspective on things, and I'm really enjoying it. It's realising that God is not the big scary horrible person in the sky, that so many of us, believers or non-believers alike, think that He is.
At the weekend I was part of a team that did an outreach to a women's refuge. There were about 15 women, and it was such a privilege to be able to bless them and bring kindness where there has been hurt. So we all met at a YWCA, and did manicures, massages, facials and makeovers for them. It was a lot of fun....let's face it; every girl loves pampering treatment, right?
Then on Sunday we went to Dundas square in downtown Toronto and did dream interpreation and spoke to people on the street. I had some very interesting converstaions and some of the people came along to 'TACF Central' that evening.
I am hearing rumours of snow....I think it will probably come sometime in November. I LOVE SNOW. Being from southeast England it is such a novelty to see snow. However once it snows it will be here till about March, so I guess I will be pleased too see it melt away, but I hope I never lose my childlike glee at seeing it come down. Aren't snow showers beautiful? Anyone else agree?

Completely agree.....one thing I miss about MIchigan is not having the snow in winter.
Have woken up this morning to one of th first frosts of the season though...with the heating not great in the house Esther and I are in it was a little chilly getting up in the -1 temperature. Mind you it was one of those beautiful drives to work where there is frost on all the fields and hedgerows and the sun was rising with not a cloud in the sky.....beautiful, praise God!
Glad to hear things are going well there,
Blessings
Emma
