Fungus for dinner
Yesterday for dinner I cooked lasagne.
But it was no ordinary lasagne.
This was fungus lasagne.....
I'm back living with my parents and so used the ingredients that my Mum asked for, including Quorn (www.quorn.com), instead of beef.
I looked on the back of the packet, and it says that its made up mostly of mycoprotein, a 'nutritious member of the fungi family'.
I mean this stuff is cunning...it looks and tastes like REAL meat. Being a meatetarian (as opposed to a vegetarian), I feel somewhat cheated by this alternative............but it did taste good.
(Can you say that about your own cooking?!!!)

Ewwwww. That sounds nasty! I'm in love with Chicken and insist on putting it in almost everything I cook. Right now I'm ulturnating between Thai and Italian...both with chicken. I need more ideas but I don't think I'll try that fungus stuff based on your opinion! Steph, I'm liking your blog so far! =)
Which Sarah is this? :o)
It's the Dailey!
